Meet the Team
Sonja Sims, DVM
Dr. Sonja Sims is a native of the beautiful high deserts of New Mexico and currently resides in the sleepy village of Los Ranchos. Her early career led her to the West Coast to attend the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco with a short stay in Lake Tahoe. With an intense passion for nutrition and healing a last minute change in life path led her back to New Mexico to study Biology and Chemistry at the University of New Mexico and on to Colorado State University for Veterinary School. Current hobbies include gardening, herding small children, and travel. Goals include starting her own nonprofit to guarantee animals are able to access the care they need in the face of financial adversity.
